This project required the creation of a wordmark, menu, and website for a fictional restaurant. I decided to develop this project further by creating a fictional estate and vineyard that the restaurant would be a part of.
Located in the loft of a 200-year-old bank-barn; Threshing Floor Restaurant takes the historic beauty of the barn’s original craftsmanship and combines it with modernity and elegance.
Thin type and lines are utilized in the wordmark’s design to emphasize the juxtaposition between this fine dining experience and the atmosphere in which it’s taking place. The iconic lines nested within the wordmark are a subtle representation of the floorboards (threshing floor) which has now been converted to the dining area.
Antique farm equipment and tools that now hang on the walls of the Threshing Floor Restaurant are featured on menus and product packaging as technical drawings.
